After receiving his Ph.D from Kyoto University, he worked at SOKENDAI, Seijo University, and Osaka University His main research theme is “responsible governance of science and technology” with the concept of “responsible research and innovation (RRI).” He conducts an analysis of ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) concerning advanced science and technology with multiple analytical approaches in social science, such as media analysis, social surveys, scanning, public dialogue, observation, and policy analysis.
