Best Art Paper Awarded at SIGGRAPH 2023

A research paper titled “Movement Quality Visualization for Wheelchair Dance” has been awarded the Best Art Paper at SIGGRAPH 2023 conference in Los Angeles, USA. The paper is co-authored by Yurui Xie, Giulia Barbareschi, Ayesha Nabila, Kai Kunze and Masa Inakage, and it showcases a system that creates visual representations detailing both emotional and expressive feature of movements. In this paper we are calling for a future where disability can form its own artistic value and aesthetic appreciation.
