Mutual Cooperation Agreement between Sabae City, Sabae Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and KMD

On July 4, 2017, Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (“KMD”, Yokohama, Dean Masa Inakage), Sabae City (Mayor Hyakuo Makino), and Sabae Chamber of Commerce and Industry (President Ichiro Kuroda) signed a mutual cooperation agreement in order to cooperate and support each other for education, academic, community development, industry, and culture.

In 2015, KMD started the “traditional crafts future projects” with Sabae City and Echizen Lacquerware Cooperative, and opened a satellite base (COTOBA) in Sabae to accelerate our project collaboration with local area last year. With this mutual cooperation agreement, KMD aims to support the long-term business development with a view to industrial activity of the entire local industry. Our “traditional crafts future project” continues to support local industry of Sabae for brand globalization.
