UKUYOE: Wa x Drone x Digital Art, the Performance Art Produced by TBS x 1→10 x KMD

Tomotaka Ishii, first year PhD student in KMD/ TBS has produced “UKUYOE,” the performance art which integrates “Wa (traditional Japanese style),” “Drone” and “Digital Art.” This performance has been developed through the joint planning of 1→10HOLDINGS, Inc., TBS and KMD, with the concept of “Fusion of Wa and Technology” which combines the performance of sumo wrestlers, drone, and image of Ukiyoe. This performance shows the fantastic scenery of drawing process of the picture of sumo wrestlers on Ukiyoe with the laser light from flying drone while the real sumo wrestlers standing on both sides of the stage.
