Graduate School of Media Design will hold a special panel discussion by Professor Cathy Holloway from University College London (UCL) and Dr. Giulia Barbareschi as well as Professor Chihiro Sato and Professor Donna Chen from KMD, on Saturday, October 29th.*

Cathy Holloway (University College London)
Cathy Holloway is Professor of Interaction Design and Innovation at UCL’s Interaction Centre and the Academic Director and co-founder of the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub). GDI Hub exists to accelerate disability innovation for a fairer world and Cathy’s research revolves around supporting this aim. GDI Hub is part of a partnership which has grown out of the Paralympic Legacy and crosses traditional discipline boundaries to pool expertise to tackle the issues faced by society in realising the Sustainable Development Goals.
Giulia Barbareschi (KMD)
Giulia Barbareschi is a JSPS Research Fellow in Disability and Assistive Technology Innovation at the Keio School of Media Design in Yokohama and an honorary lecturer at the Global Disability Innovation Hub and the UCL Interaction Centre in London. Her research interest centers on the design, development, and evaluation of new and existing technologies to empower people with disabilities living in different parts of the world.
Chihiro Sato (KMD)
After an undergraduate degree at Keio University Department of Economics, she entered as the first batch of masters at Keio University Graduate School of Media Design, and earned Ph.D. in Media Design in 2014. Previously, Visiting Lecturer at Kings College London, UK. Rooting in Economic Geography and Behavioral Economics, she researches irrational human behaviors in public spaces using Bayesian Networks, and designs places by integrating information space and real space.
Donna Chen (KMD)
Over 15 years of experiences working with multinational brands, Donna develops her professional know-hows under various industries through Product Creation, integrated marketing communication, Corporate Brand Management. Conceptualize and orchestrate campaigns that effectively meet business objectives. Sharing brand, management, media and communication knowledge and multi-national corporation experiences, lead and inspire students to collaborate and explore opportunities to create and advance for societal good.
