Keynote speaker: Gordon Bruce

Gordon Bruce works in Europe, Asia & the USA with multinational corporations on many kinds of products. From 1991 – 1994, he was hired by Art Center College of Design as consulting VP to set up a campus in Kyoto. From 1995 – 1999, he was the Product Design Chairman for the “Innovative Design Lab of Samsung” in Seoul developing a unique curriculum to reeducate Samsung’s best designers. In 2001, Bruce worked with IBM’s Global Research designing a virtual campus for ETH – Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule – in Zurich. In 2003, Bruce was hired by Porsche Design to open their US office. He worked with Lenovo’s “Innovative Design Center”, in Beijing, from 2002 to 2009 and recently consults with GE Appliances, Bühler in Switzerland and Huawei Technologies in China.

Art Center College of Design recently gave Mr. Bruce their “Lifetime Achievement Award”. He lectures annually at Harvard and is a Red Dot Design jury member for the last 7 years. He writes for international design publications such as AXIS and is an author of a monograph published by Phaidon Press about the famous American architect and designer, Eliot Noyes. He is presently writing a book on the “Innovative Design lab of Samsung”.
