Biography:
Earned a BS (1983) and MS (1985) in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science from Keio University (1989). Held professorships at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology’s Information Technology Center and its Graduate School of Information Science from 1994-2008.
Research areas include the Internet, mobile/ubiquitous communication systems, vehicle communication systems, multimedia communication systems, digital libraries, computer architecture, parallel processing, distributed systems, operating systems, and computer networks.
Currently, researching security and privacy to create a secure and safe internet-based society. The “Information Bank Project” is about the safe management of personal information.
